Christian PaHud Wins Legends Summer Shootout Title at Lowe's Motor Speedway |
|
(Harrisburg, NC) – Team Full Throttle NASCAR Driver Development racer Christian PaHud led from start to finish with his Dan Snyder Racing prepared INEX Legends Semi-Pro machine to capture the 20-lap Summer Shootout finale’ at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC. PaHud got an unexpected bonus when points leader Daniel Hemric was taken out in a last lap melee’ allowing him to capture the series championship as well. It was the second major points championship for PaHud in the past year, as he captured a WKA George Kugler Manufacturer Cup Series title last season. It was the first Legends shootout series championship for both Dan Snyder Racing and Team Full Throttle. “I can’t believe this just happened,” smiled Christian after the race was over. “Dan (Snyder) had this car on a rail tonight. It was just awesome. I was able to win the heat without even using all of what the car had. I knew I had a car to win the race, but getting the championship was something I hadn’t expected since I came into the night over 60 points back. I just need to thank my family for all they’ve sacrificed so I could do this, Dan, April, and Brett at Dan Snyder Racing, and everyone with Team Full Throttle for being so supportive. What an unbelievable night!”
Team Full Throttle founder and Vice President Tom Baker noted it was PaHud’s fifth win of 2007 and his first Legends championship. “Christian’s done a tremendous job in his first year in the Legends cars. He’s really settled down the last few weeks and it has paid off. We’re proud of him and of Dan Snyder as well. Dan works awfully hard and he knows what it takes to win in these cars. He really communicates well with our drivers and is very patient with them. Daniel Hemric got two very bad breaks tonight and it’s unfortunate. He’s run like a champion this whole series. Thomas Hartensveld letting Christian race his second car kept him in the hunt until Christian’s car was race ready for tonight, so this was definitely a team effort and a big night for our whole group.” For more information about Christian PaHud or Team Full Throttle, go to www.goteamfullthrottle.com.
